»Die Susi bläst das Saxophon!« – Daniel Malheur bastelt an neuer Platte!

Wie Sie sicherlich bereits mitbekommen haben, erwartet die Welt neben Johnny Cashs heute veröffentlichten verschollenen Aufnahmen auch Daniel Malheurs brandneue Aufnahmen. Entführt der gute alte Johnny uns zurück in die 80er-Jahre, vermag »Le Monsieur« den geneigten Zuhörer in eine noch weiter entfernte Zeit zu entführen. Richtig: die 1920er!

Eine erfolgreiche Platte benötigt nicht nur gute Musik, sondern auch einen knackigen Namen. Wenn ich meinen zuverlässigen Quellen bei Salome Records Berlin glauben darf, wird das neue Meisterwerk des größten Entertainers der Hauptstadt einen Titel der Extraklasse bekommen: »Die Susi bläst das Saxophon!«

Ein weiterer nicht zu unterschätzender Aspekt bei der Produktion eines Tonträgers ist natürlich die bildliche Gestaltung. Derzeit stehen die Fotografen der Stadt vor den Toren der Salome Records Schlange, um sich dem Meister mit ihren Ideen und Schnappschüssen anzubieten. Jesko Mägle geht mit dem auf dem Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2013 in Leipzig entstandenen Schnappschuss, den Sie oben sehen, ins Rennen. Daniel Malheur selbst gab nach Sichtung des Entwurfs folgende Worte zum Besten: »MonokelPop – schneidig, sportlich, flott mit einem Hauch von (Johnny) Depp …«

Die letzte (?) wichtige Zutat für eine Veröffentlichung ist monetärer Natur. Und hier, mesdames et messieurs, können Sie Ihren Beitrag leisten. Richtig, Sie können MonokelPop-Mäzen werden! I’m sure you’ve already heard that there is another record the world is longing for alongside Johnny Cash’s lost recordings, released today: Daniel Malheur’s brand-new songs, of course! Good old Johnny takes us back to the 80s, while "Le Monsieur" transports the willing listener to an even more distant era. Exactly: the 1920s!

A successful record needs not only fantastic music, but also a snappy title. If my reliable sources at Salome Records Berlin are to be believed, the new masterpiece by the capital’s greatest entertainer will be given a first-class title: "Susi Blows the Saxophone!"

Another aspect that should not be underestimated when producing a record is, of course, the visual presentation. Right now, Berlin’s photographers are lining up outside the gates of Salome Records to offer the master their ideas and snapshots. Jesko Mägle is trying his luck with the snapshot taken at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2013 in Leipzig, which you can see above. After seeing the design, Daniel Malheur himself had the following to say: "MonokelPop – dashing, athletic, saucy, with a touch of (Johnny) Depp..."
("Depp" is the German word for dork.)
