»Erinnerungen« für alle! Da bin ich wieder …

… und war eigentlich gar nicht (allzu lange) weg.

Hallo!

Da habe ich mich ja ganz schön rar gemacht – obwohl (oder weil?) ziemlich viel passiert ist! Ich fasse mich kurz: 2017 bin ich vier Monate lang mit dem Rucksack durch Südamerika gereist. Am Ende sollte Band 5 der »Let Your Light Shine in the World«-Reihe herauskommen … Daraus wird aber leider nichts. End of Story.

Da kommst Du von einer Reise zurück, musst feststellen, dass Dir Dein Buchprojekt zerstört wurde, und dann verreckt Deutschlands erstem Straßenleser auch noch das Auto. Also konnte ich 2017 ebenfalls nicht auf Tour gehen. Nein, es lief im letzten Jahr nicht wirklich rund bei mir …

Immerhin habe ich dann mit meiner Band 6 Gramm Caratillo ein paar Konzerte gespielt – unter anderem in Tschechien –, ein ausführliches Radio-Interview gegeben und im März dieses Jahres nach einer gefühlten Ewigkeit endlich die lang ersehnte EP herausgebracht: »Raumschiff Löwenberg« heißt die Scheibe, die es allerdings nur in Kleinstauflage als Vinyl-CD-R gibt (oder gab?) und die zum kostenlosen Download zur Verfügung steht. Ob da noch mehr kommen wird, ist derzeit aber leider ebenfalls sehr fraglich …

Irgendwann war’s dann auch mal genug mit den Enttäuschungen und es ging wieder nach oben. Genauer gesagt: in die Luft, gen Indien. Den Januar habe ich in Bangalore verbracht und was ich dort erleben durfte, hat für vieles entschädigt. Und herauskommen wird … mein erster abendfüllender Dokumentarfilm! Richtig! Es gibt endlich mal wieder ’nen Film. Viel verrate ich noch nicht, aber – da könnt Ihr Euch sicher sein – nach und nach wird es von mir weitere Informationen über Indian Garden geben. Der Film wird aller Voraussicht nach 2019 fertig.

Außerdem läuft seit Kurzem ein weiteres Filmprojekt an. Darüber will ich allerdings noch nichts preisgeben, da wir uns in der allerfrühesten Phase der Vorproduktion befinden. Ich bin allerdings schon reichlich aufgeregt!

Aber eigentlich will ich Euch ja auch etwas ganz anderes mitteilen: Mein bis dato letzter Kurzfilm Erinnerungen ist ab sofort für Euch frei zugänglich – mit deutschen, englischen, französischen und spanischen Untertiteln. …and I wasn't really gone for all that long.

Hello!

I've certainly kept a low profile lately – even though, or perhaps because, quite a lot has happened! I'll keep it brief: in 2017, I spent four months backpacking through South America. The plan was for Volume 5 of the "Let Your Light Shine in the World" series to emerge from that trip… Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen. End of story.

You come back from a journey, discover that your book project has been ruined, and then, to top it all off, Germany's First Street Reader loses his car when it dies on him. So I wasn't able to go on tour in 2017 either. No, things really didn't go particularly well for me last year…

At least I played a few shows with my band 6 Gramm Caratillo – including one in the Czech Republic –, gave an extensive radio interview and, in March of this year, finally released our long-awaited EP after what felt like an eternity. The record is called "Raumschiff Löwenberg". It was available only as a tiny limited edition on vinyl-style CD-R – if any copies are even left – and is also available as a free download. Unfortunately, whether there will be anything more from us is also very much up in the air at the moment…

Eventually, I'd had enough of all the disappointments and things started looking up again. More precisely, I went up into the air, bound for India. I spent January in Bangalore, and what I experienced there made up for a lot. And what will come out of it… my first feature-length documentary! That's right! There is finally going to be another film. I won't reveal much yet, but you can be sure that I'll gradually share more information about Indian Garden. The film is expected to be completed in 2019.

Another film project has recently got under way as well. I don't want to reveal anything about it yet, however, as we are still in the very earliest stages of pre-production. But I'm already pretty excited!

What I actually wanted to tell you, however, is something entirely different: my most recent short film, Memories, is now available for everyone to watch free of charge, with German, English, French and Spanish subtitles.
