Wahnsinn! »Erinnerungen« ist in Marbella in der »engeren Auswahl«!
Amazing! “Memories” Has Been Shortlisted in Marbella!

Da ist die Festivalsaison für Erinnerungen fast vorbei – auf allzu viele Zu- oder Absagen warte ich nicht mehr – und plötzlich kommt der Knaller:
»Erinnerungen« ist beim internationalen Filmfestival von Marbella in der »engeren Auswahl«. Das Marbella Film Festival zählt zu den größten Independent Film Festivals Europas und konnte schon Stars wie William Shatner, Ben Stiller, Sir Ben Kingsley, Vinnie Jones, Eddie Murphy und Jay Leno als Gäste begrüßen. Es wird einen roten Teppich geben, der in die Location des Festivals, ins Andalucia Plaza Hotel (Puerto Banús), führt, welches auch das Casino Marbellas beherbergt. Falls das mit der Nominierung klappt, sollte ich mir wohl mal einen Anzug zulegen und anfangen, Martini zu schlürfen … 🙂
Im Anschluss an das vom 3. bis 7. Oktober 2012 stattfindende Festival werden die nominierten und dann natürlich auch teilweise prestigeträchtig vor über 200 Gästen, Filmemachern, Promis und Würdenträgern ausgezeichneten Filme auf Welttournee geschickt. Das klingt doch auch nicht schlecht!
Die jetzt schon enorm große Freude über die Ehre, »short listed« zu sein, wird hoffentlich noch mit einer tatsächlichen Nominierung gekrönt. Ich platze vor Stolz und möchte mich an dieser Stelle erneut bei meinen hervorragenden Schauspielern und meiner grandiosen Crew bedanken, mit der ich »Erinnerungen« drehen durfte. Danke, Leute!

Wer sich noch einmal oder gar erstmals den Film ansehen möchte, kann dies noch bis 31. August beim OneCloudFest, dem Facebook Film Festival, tun. Vergesst bitte nicht, auf der Seite des OneCloudFests auf »Like« zu klicken, da dies unsere Chancen erhöht, im Finale des Onlinefestivals zu landen! Finale … So wie heute Abend die DFB-Auswahl, wenn sie gegen die Squadra Azzurra gewonnen hat – 2:0 nach 90 Minuten. Was für ein Tag!

Just when the festival season for Memories is almost over – I am no longer waiting for too many acceptances or rejections – suddenly comes the bombshell:
“Memories” has been shortlisted for the international film festival in Marbella. The Marbella Film Festival is one of Europe’s biggest independent film festivals and has already welcomed stars such as William Shatner, Ben Stiller, Sir Ben Kingsley, Vinnie Jones, Eddie Murphy and Jay Leno as guests. There will be a red carpet leading into the festival venue, the Andalucia Plaza Hotel in Puerto Banús, which also houses Marbella’s casino. If the nomination actually happens, I should probably get myself a suit and start sipping martinis … 🙂
After the festival, which takes place from October 3 to 7, 2012, the nominated films — and, of course, some of the films honored in prestigious fashion in front of more than 200 guests, filmmakers, celebrities and dignitaries — will be sent on a world tour. That does not sound too bad either!
The already enormous joy of having the honor of being shortlisted will hopefully be crowned by an actual nomination. I am bursting with pride and would like to once again thank my excellent actors and my fantastic crew, with whom I had the pleasure of shooting “Memories.” Thank you, people!

Please do not forget to click “Like” on the OneCloudFest page, as this increases our chances of making it into the online festival’s final! Final … just like the German national team tonight, once they have beaten the Squadra Azzurra – 2–0 after 90 minutes. What a day!
